The Advanced Combat Droid (ACD) is an evolutionary upgrade of the Robot Lazer Droid (or RLD, see above), designed for exploration and combat independent of a carrier ship. To that end, it boasts much more powerful batteryless nuclear water rockets, which have an unrefueled round-trip range of 245 km. It boasts a hex-phase encrypted spread-spectrum Ku band microdatalink, allowing remote control of the droid with streaming camera and sensor feeds. Its standard 22.3PHz processor automatically corrects for unnecessary drift motions, making it a perfect gun platform. (press S to disable / enable gunnery mode. It is suggested that you fly with this off when not lining up.)
The ACD is armed with the RLD's standard laser, but also with a miniaturized torpedo launcher. This greatly increases its damage output and alpha-strike capability, enabling its use as an infiltration and sabotage craft.

This Youngs Modulus planet will have both friend and foe in a flaming wreck! Due to its unusual shape, 20 seconds of thrusters and a lot of luck are required! (In the screenshot, a Titanic with the maximum armour crashed upon dropship landing.) Plus, the planet sports freezing temperatures and low light because of its lack of proximity to a sun!
